Our client is an American financial asset manager based in the Midwest and has offices globally in London, New York, and Hong Kong. They serve a broad client base including financial advisors, institutions, and individual investors to provide active management and focus on the long-term.

We are looking for a Product Designer to join their team. They are redesigning processes (conceptualize, designing, testing, launching) and impacting a full range of projects from advertising landing pages to portfolio management tools. Check it out!

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as an advanced practitioner of User Research (UXR), User Experience Design (UX), or Interface Design (UI). 
  • Experience in designing digital products (apps, logged in web apps, etc.).
  • Strong UI design experience for one of these roles is required given the gap on the team
  • Extensive knowledge of design systems and the scalability of reusable components. Ideally, you’ve led the creation of a robust design system and can walk us through how you did it.
  • Strong knowledge in responsive design best practices, screen sizes etc.
  • Experience with native app (iOS + Android) design, standards and limitations.
  • Well versed in Figma and component based design templates to be used as a starting point for creative development.
  • BA/BFA degree in digital or media design related field, plus a portfolio showcasing proven creative design experience with responsive web, mobile, tablet app design
  • Advanced English

Responsibilities 

  • Primary focus will be on design, but will also be required to take charge of meetings and represent the company in situations where the project lead is unable to attend.
  • Advocate for accessibility and modern design practices. 
  • Advocate for consistency and quality in the brand’s presentation.
  • Maintains a customer-focused and brand compliant iterative design approach. 
  • Creates design rationales based on user research and customer feedback. 
  • Communicate with product team members about project scope, level of effort, goals and expectations. 
  • Proactively seeks and gives feedback.
  • Works on design team efforts such as; style guides, brand audits, etc.
